I did a quick search and couldnt really find the answers i was looking for. I currently haev a c20xe being fitted in my car, but my mate had a c20let engien in his calibra and he blew the bottom end of it up, but the top end is all good. (Gearbox has been sold thou)
1. Is there any bits that would be benificial to me, or even make my c20xe quicker? Pistons gone tru block so cant have that
2. Would the turbo just go on my c20xe? what else would be needed to make this run like normal? Diff ecu? ect
3. Would my c20xe be able to handle the standard c20let turbo ok? or are the internals of the engines diff so the let can handle the bigger prerssure and power?
4. Any more info i should know that i may of missed off.
Cheers in advance

You could turn your XE into a Turbo. You need some new pistons though. But all the Turbo bits fit straight on - you need to bolt an oil pipe to the block though. You can also use the wiring loom and the ECU off of the LET.
The main difference between the 2 engines are the pistons. The rods are the same. You just need lower compresson to run a turbo without it blowing up.

Easy job? hard job?
Pistons will cost quite abit too wont they?
How do you make engine run at lower compression?
So really its not as simple as you could just add it in like i thought and it would run fine... How stupid i am

You can't just bolt the turbo on, as it will go pop.
You need to...
Get the turbo, manifold and and down pipe on - Easy.
Drill the block for the oil return pipe - Easy, as you can get somone to do it for you.
Fit the LET inlet plenuim and piping onto the XE - Easy.
Fit the intercooler - Easy.
Fit low compression pistons off of a LET - A bit more complicated
Fit the wiring and ECU - Easy as you already have an XE.

They expensive? take it they can only be ones from a c20let engine. How can you tell if they are good? General wear n tear?

I think i will jus leave it! im not spendin that much for a whoooooosshhh noise to go with the turbo. How much are manifold, turbo and intercooler worth? owt or nowt? all from a c20let, all standard bits
