Right, I used to work in Next as a temp over xmas helping out. Although i got taxed emergency tax even though i shouldnt have done due to the fact that i was still a student. I was talking to a lad that works there last night and my mum and they both said i can claim all the tax back that i paid which is £100+, i have my p45 with all the necessary information, i just need to know how and who i contact....

Does anyone know a phone number i should ring?

Do i ring the inland revenue? Or the tax office?

I filled one out recently but I'm pretty sure it wasnt that one....
have a look around the website, there should be others

They should automatically refund you if you are due a rebate....but it usually takes them about a year and a half to get round to it

the tax man hates me.

I get a rebate every year

Think he owes me about 1200-1300 quid at the moment.

Rang them to change my tax code at the begining of the tax year. changed from 42something to 56something Few more pennies in my pocket

if you were on the wrong tax code being charged emergency tax then you should get it back pretty quickly. My girlfriend changed jobs and they forgot to send her P45 to their accounts

She got about £600 back about two weeks later.
