Most places just reccomend a credit card offering 0% on balances over 6 months I think (Wheelbase included?).

Looking quickly, you can take a £1k loan out over 12 months and the final amount payable is something silly like £1030!!!

can someone clear something up for me, if i got the post office card and transferred balance onto it from another card, how long before i would pay interest or do i not pay interest unless i make other purchases?

if it's 0% on balance transfers and purchases you wouldn't pay any interest for however long the interest free period is for

be carefull with these 0% on balance transfer cards as some of them charge you a fee to transfer the money onto the card now.
