nowhere near as good as 7 though. Yes it might have the graphics but the storyline is a massive let down when compared.

yeah 7 was best imo, 9 was good aswell, as is 6.
8 however was shoot.

8 was utter shoot  FMV sequences were pretty good though. Yeah I enjoyed 9, never completed it though, same as 10. Got wowed in with the pretty graphics and then I just got bored.
I loved the Materia system in 7. Genius imo.

Yeah 7 owns and i like the materia system over the sphers but the graphics of X are pretty awesome.
Still Cloud was good!

i'm still playing X now, currently sitting at 91 hours. trying to make them all bad ass
just started 7 which is quite good so far

lol my X is past 300 hours!
I was nailed to my bed palying it constant throughout college!
Mine were bad ass but I still could not kill all the dark aeons!

7 just gets better and better mate. Especially if you're anything like me and become 'attached' to the characters. You see each of their life stories and how they came about in the world.
Was thinking of purchasing a PS2 just to play this classic game again.

I never defeated Emerald Weapon in FF7 (the underwater weapon).
Needed the Underwater Materia and a few other things, as well as the right combinations of Materia so that you could be brought back to life if he killed you.
Crazy stuff.
Chocobo breeding as well

thats right, as far as I know you can't save PS1 games onto a PS2 memory card.
I could be wrong though.

I fully completed 7 but in X when you use a aeon ona dark aeon they will cause max dmg but the dark aoens have like 1 million HP so after they strike they get killed next hit. I can only kill Dark Ifrit! Gotta ahve all stats at 255 plus all aeons maxed and im still dieing!
And you're right about the memory card

never played Breath of Fire.
Back in the day, Ultima Underworld was excellent, though not at RPG as such, it was still pretty good.
Diablo was great. Loved that game. Balance of enemies and random items was awesome. Baldur's gate wasn't bad either.
Latest RPG is Oblivion at the moment for me.

yes you can get FF7 for the pc. I found it to be crap though. Playing with the keyboard just isn't the same, yes OK you could get a pad but it still doesnt feel right. And secondly, the music is truly awful. What made FF7 such a good game for me was the soundtrack to the boss fights etc.. on the PC they're watered down versions of the same tracks, not as good and doesn't have the same impact.
Yes the graphics are better, but to be honest I liked the blocky look of FF7.
I got mine from ebay a while ago, gave it away in the end. Cost me about £10 I think.
If you have never played FF7 on the PS then by all means the PC version may be the way to go as you'll have nothing to compare it to.

better yet download the playstation rips of ff7 then play them on a psx emulator for the pc, job done.

er there is a psx emulator for psp but its in veyy early stage, just not really worth playing at the moment.
however, sony have definetly stated they will release a working program for there psp that will allow you to play old psx games on it at full speed, it will probs end up being an emulator.
so.....eventually it will be playable as of now its not really worth the trouble.
