at the end of summer im going to start work on my 1.4 corsa again as its all stripped at the moment. wanting a sort of track style car, plans being...
Gsi front (the front will look pretty much the same as sandsys)
M3 skirts
Standard rear
white 16s (not sure which yet)
dropped around 70-80mm
Semi smooth boot
and for the interior its gettin totally stripped and repsrayed black inside with just bucket seats, steering wheel and full white cage.
and then chuck either a tuned 1.6 or a valver in
question is though, im taking the dash out and wanting all my dials on the a pillars on pods. speedo/revs on drivers side and water level, etc on the passenger side. is there any pics of this? iv never seen it before in a corsa i dont think. or any pics of stripped interiors to give me ideas. especially where to hide the wires lol
cheers

ok suppose your right lol, all the dials should go on the driver side and ye i have thought about a cross bar (is that the bar that goes across were the dash is meant to be?) if it is i could put the dials on there but for years iv wanted them on the a pillar lol so i really want to do it. but coudl do with examples of it beforehand
and no, not wantin a box made up. just want the good old fashioned gauges in pods

whats the difference in stripped and 'stripped'. all my old cars i have taken out everything apart from dash and footwell carpet. i took roof lining and everything out. but this time the dash is coming out and im goin to get it all sprayed up inside and tidy all the wires up.
i like the way uv done ur dash there by the way. any better pics of it? for example, the view from the passenger side
cheers

have a look in my garage... heaps of pics.
What are you going to mount the pods with then, and where to?
stripped is as above
'stripped' is the usual 'track look' corsa.... false floors, sub's etc

no im not doing false floors. il have an amp in but thatl be under my seat and just have a pair of speakers in my doors. thats all and il find a place for the headunit.
il have a look in your garage now, cheers
iv no idea where the pods are going to be mounted. coudl they go on the actual cage or will that be too far back to see? i havnt really thought of how theyl go cos i havnt got a pod on me to see how they are attatched

why do you need an amp then if your just having two speakers in your doors The HU will be ample.... once you find where to put it
On the floor in the back would be best..... but not really practical at all.....
to be honest.... nothing you are saying sounds practical Are you going to use the car daily? If so , if not hairry muff..... its easy to live with hinderances when not hinder often.

yes will be a daily driver lol. im used to stripped interiors so it wont bother me. and iv no diea why i need an amp, suppose i just like my speakers to be at their best so an amp will be better than a HU, but it doesnt matter. im more concerned about my dash idea lol
i dont care about practicality, aslong as everything is legal basically the interior will look same as yours but im not keen on the dash that u left in for the dials so im wantin to put them somewhere else. i think my best bit is to get my car out the garage and have a look for myself wer a more practical place will be to have it

you'll have to whip out the heater matrix then.
prob best address the HU once everything is done.... sure there will be a handy place for it somewhere.... just need to fabricate a bracket.
The cross bar is legal.

i think il have to get a cross bar, itl be so much easier and yes, the HU is the last thing to do and can just go anywer really
i know in the long run itl be best to keep the dash in but il get bored one day and take it out so may aswell think of ideas on what to do when that day comes
teddy - looks nice and clean reminds me of my last corsa. and that was driven everyday and the noise and emptyness never bothered me

Yep to true.
No other problems really.
Just make sure you keep your hook up for the lights (fog etc) If you plan it to be mot legal.
Everything else - out the door
Or make a switch panel like me

i forgot about the lights. could i just have somesort of metal plate somewhere which holds the light switch. will this be legal? for example, weld the plate on the centre console area and the normal light knob thing will be used....if that makes sense
