Good player IMO, underated by many people. Should be knocking on the door on a England Squad place for the EURO 2008 campaign if he continues his form towards the end of last season.

why? if he played for the other side of manchester of liverpool, they would rave about him, he tackles well, passes well, and scores some right corkers.

I can name at least two players who are more worth of an England spot than Barton in Parker and Reo Coker, there are probably more if I think about it

Dont think Arsene Wenger thought it would be over the top. His problem as well as any other English central midfielders is Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard, as individuals, are probably 2 of the top 5 players in Europe at this moment in time.

yep, but he is a lampard/gerrard sort of player, and not many other midfielders in England are. obviously hes not as good, but not a million miles behind
