I have a 2001 corsa C SXI but it has a oil leak on the top of the gearbox, i think it might be something to do with the gear linkage seal, anyone got any other ideas?
Thanks in advance

Have you steam cleaned it?
Are you positive it is seeping up from the gearbox and not leaking down from elsewhere? Gearbox fluid is red on a manual and green on an auto. The gear linkage cannot be responsible, do you mean the selector? The part coming from the gearbox that is fastened to the linkage via a pin?
Steam clean it or pressure wash it. Then with no grime on the box you can identify the oil colour!

no i haven't steam cleaned it but it's almost deff gearbox fluid because it looks like it started on the top of the gear housing bit and dripped down the front, yeh sry i did mean selector

if the gaskets fubar on the selector turret it'll leak, if the bung is left out after a linkage tweak it'll leak
