If you can grab hold of the rocker cover with one hand its an 8v, if not its a 16v.

Look in my garage to see what the 1.2 8v engine looks like (c12nz) although all the 8v engines look similar so you should be able to judge easily enough

yeah cheerz i know what they look like plus the car isnt here and the bloke i might be buying off is thick and doesnt know himself and i aint travelling all that way to buy an 8v cav sri!! its a c20xe by the way tht im looking for in any condition so that i can give to vaux and get a totally recond xe back of them for my transplant!! thnks tommy

as long as theres no holes in the block then vaux will take it, two days and bout £1500 l8r i have a int brand new engine! tommy
