Due to a change in circumstances, the unit that I rent is no longer available and I am not going to be able to finish the Corsa 2.0 16v conversion. I'm therefore looking to sell the project:-
This sale consists of Engine, gearbox, Corsa base car and conversion parts as listed below
The details are:-
Engine:-
• Calibra C20XE engine (late type)
• 90k miles and was not tapping when it came out the car, drove very well with no smoke
• Newly rebuilt with new head gasket, timing belt and pulleys.
• Engine mounted in car, requires wiring and plumbing
• New NGK performance spark plugs
• New Oil Filter
• Oil Cooler
• Wiring Loom connected to engine and fully labelled
Base Car
• Corsa 1.2i Swing M Registered
• Orginally a 1.2i with 59k miles (full service history)
• Owned by a Vauxhall dealer and is therefore in great condition
• Caribic blue
• Bodywork is excellent condition for year
• Declared SORN.
Conversion bits:- The engine is mounted at 2 points in the car using mounts from Lee Mitchell. Other parts included in sale:-
• Lee Mitchell Gearbox and roll bar spacers
• Single “V” style bottom pulley with new bolts
• Cavalier CV joints
• Corsa GSi driveshafts (ideal for this conversion)
• Replacement for the SFi box and ecotec pipe.
• 16v Header Tank
• 16v fuel pump.
• Corsa Rev Counter clocks
• Jamex 60mm springs (front and rear)
• Jamex front shocks (unsure of condition as they have never been on the car)
• 4 branch manifold with Lambda sensor
• 4 Calibra alloys
• 2 Radiators and fans
• Calibra steering wheel
• Cat Converter
• K&N Filter
Current State:-
1.2 engine has been removed and 2.0 is in place on 2 mounts but needs the rear mount put on and water pipes put on, loom wired up etc. It will need the driveshafts connected etc, all usual conversion stuff which is straight forward.
The loom and ECU are all labelled up so can clearly tell what goes where. The loom is all attached to the engine correctly and just needs wired to the car. I have a full conversion guide which details this and is included in the sale.
There is very little work required to finish this car but as I have nowhere to store the car anymore.
Only parts I haven't got round to buying yet are an alternator which runs the single V pulley belt and a custom exhast. I have the multirib alternator which is also included in the sale and car be sold on or exchanged at a local motor factors.
I have boxes of pipes, nuts and bolts which can be used with this converison
The car and all the parts are near Glasgow Airpost , buyer must arrange collection within 1 week of the auction ending. £200 deposit must be made within 3 days.
Need to put a price - Looking in the region of £700 or nearest offer for the lot - WILL ACCEPT ANY REASONABLE OFFER in order to get it away.
I am happy to speak to anyone on the phone also about it. I'm regretting having to do this but this will hopefully make someone a perfect project car.
