I am doing an engine swap from a 1.2 to a 1.6.I am looking for the imobiliser plug for the transponder, where abouts do I find it at the ignition barrel?
The starter motor is turning but the engine is not starting.Would the fact that the imobiliser is not plugged in be the reason for this?
Thanks

if your car didnt have an immobiliser to start with there wont be any wiring for the transponder. you will have to retro wire it. Ive got a wiring diagram somewhere if you need it.

1. brown/red= input to alarm (not essential)
2. Brown blue= EM light on dash
3. unused
4. Brown= ground
5. black= ignition live
6. blue/red= from speed signal
7 blue red= to ecu
8. brown/white= diagnostic plug.
on the ecu connector in the footwell locate the thin blue/red wire and cut it. connect the end from the wiring loom from the clocks (i think you are using cable speedo do in this case this applies) to pin 6 then pin 7 connect to the ecu end of the wire that you have cut.
Cheers Dave cant thank you enough !
