heres the car:

looks like that exept now has rollcage buckets , standard rear lights and stripped out. its going to be used as a trackday car and on sunny sundays.

im thinking 3" outwardly rolled, will look nice and subtle.

its being custom made by a local place (not powerflow) been to see their work this afternoon and it is exellent quality. Managed to haggle a price of £250 as well thats for a 2 1/4" bore system from the manifold back, 2 silencers all in mandrel bent and the welds look like a work of art.

Rob, I would love a black one but he only does stainless.

spray it with high temp manifold paint.

go inward if he can do it, outward makes it look like a fiesta turbo.

well lets think about it. the rest of the exhaust system is 2 1/4 inches in diameter. why would you constrict the last 10cm's with a smaller bore

its not going to 'constrict' anything. The tailpipe size is hardly going to do anything for perfomance.

HAVING THE TAILPIPE BORE SMALLER THAN THE REST OF THE SYSTEM WILL HAVE BAD BACK PRESSURE

Damn it Robin this is what I done to my Mongoose exhaust a few months back - stop giving away my ideas!

Dave, 3" outwardly rolled, spray the tailpipe in satin black high temp BBQ paint from B&Q - looks lovely
