just got a 1.6 cant really put it to its test yet as im still wearing it in! but just wondering what sort of speed you guys have had out of yours..? list mods if have any cheers matt

my speedo never worked. my satnav speed readout was fairly good though... no numbers mentioned, but it surprised me

yes on the speedo, still had another 1k revs to go but i chickened out

1 monkey/hour = 0.5 miles/hour btw

i got 120 (6000rpm about) in my 1.4 16v with lightened flywheel, picks up to 110 then strugles tho

over 125 on my dials so i say bout 110 115 for real, gsi went off the clock at 130 though but think that was a bit fukked up lol

I got the dialsa readin 130 in my old car-1.4 8v Sri - it wiz a rather big hill tho, off course this hill is on my own land

the dials on my red gsi were readin 127mph. on the flat

i was at it for about 15minutes tho as the roads up here are great for that sort of shit,

i also have video evidence,

on the same road my pug 306 2.0 16v xsi would only tickle the 120mph mark

i did have a 1.4 16v and had just over 125mph on the way back from southend!! used to do 120 easy so thourght the 1.6 would be a bit better??
