Don't rate him.
Bellamy and crouch are better.

Strengthening squad, how can you rate him when he's never played in the premier league he scored 2 against an english club recently didn't he? I am happy

crouch
bellamy
fowler
kuyt
pongolle
plus others who can play there, garcia, kewell gerrard
I think we've (liverpool) have got the best balance squad in the premiership at the moment.
Looks like benitez is looking at getting another after kuyt aswell, rumours it could be Alvez (the deal could be back on)
Also heard rumours that Kuyt is costing as little as £5m but i think closer to £9-10m

Glad pongolle is back tbh I rate him, not sure if he'll get a game though.
I thought we bought gonzalez instead of alves? If we can afford them (and the wages) why the fuck not. We need to keep the team more consistent this year though to challenge for the league.

He's a goalscorer teams can never have enough of them! On paper it must be said, Liverpool look most likely to challenge Chelsea for the league this season.

Sounds like a certain dutchman that just left Man U, if he scores even 2/3 of what RVN did he'll be doing ok.
You can't argue with 101 appearances 71 goals

£11m is the figure going round. A lot to spend on someone who had a terrible world cup.

How people can say hes poor I dont know. I havent seen him play but 20+ in each of the last 3 seasons is great going. And Ronaldinho had a poor world cup, does that make him a bad player?! Will only see when hes had a good run in the team. Benitez wouldnt spend near 10million on him if he was poor.
Just got my tickets through for the West Ham game

Have heard rumours of one more big deal coming in, but unsure who exactly. Could be Alves, but if not I have no doubt we will sign him next year to repace Finnan who will be 31/32 then and on his way out.
Im not sure how some of you are saying he is rubbish, his scoring record speaks for itself IMO regardless of how he plays. RVN was a very lazt forward but the 2-+ goals he got a season is what mattered.

The fact that i've watched him numerous times.
Also kezman's record was better than his.

A world cup lasts 7 games per team at the maximum, also at international level it is hard for an individual player of good standard to shine as their are 22 others of the best in their national team, Ronaldinho is a good example, so is Henry, both of them never really stood out this time.
A more accurate opinion will be gained by watching him against league opposition, figures do not lie, but people do.

RVN scored loads in the dutch league and you could hardly call him rubbish, it's just a matter of if they can adapt to another league
