how do i add a forum to my website?

I use a Proboards at themin but id like to intergrate it into the site if you knwo what i mean.

Doing it properly means having the right hosting and a database somewhere to store everything. When you have that sorted you then need software, which you'll probably need to make look like your existing site. Then you need to decide on what areas of discussion you want, then you're good to go.

Well most use eather PHPBB, VBulliten, Invision Power Bord. Its up to u wich one u use.

DO NOT use Vbulletin its crap and you have to pay for it, personally i like XMB (cs) unsure if you have to pay for that and PHPBB which i use and is free http://www.vagweb.co.uk/forums

a good one is SMF (simple machines forum) http://www.simplemachines.org which is free. Needs PHP and MySQL installed but sets everything up for you very quickly and easily....

vBulletin is OK if you want to pay and get support.

XMB is OK if you don't mind fixing the odd bug here and then and programming in your own changes.

phpBB if neither of those applies.

vbulletin is far too bloated tbh, have you seen how many pointless features it tries to be too clever, it must make hundreds and hundres of db queries just to process one page.

I dont even like the general layout of VB

CS is running XMB I believe?

phpBB is easy to use/customise and it's free, and there's lots of free online support too so it's not like you will be using some sort of propietary system that no-one's ever heard of before or anything.
