I don't see why not, essentially its the same as the C20XE and that can.

Would need 88mm pistons but a lot of people think that that is pushing wall thickness on a turbo!

is it really, or just a a 2050cc or something
I had 88mm pistons on my TB build. If anything goes wrong the block is essentially scrap. Much safer to just go for 87, or 87.5mm bore. (std is 860

You'll make more power form the boost and management, than running the highest capacity you can.
If you want the largest CC's then a 2.2 frontera block bored with 88mm pisotns will give near enough 2.3L

im sure the 'frontera' block is a 20xe block with a longer stroke crank.
The QED block is a alloy block bored to 90mm (max on standard OE bloack is 88mm), pair that with a 92mm stroke crank gives you just under 2400cc
This is not cheap though...
crank alone is 1300 or so, block is about 3000 if they even still sell it
There site is http://www.qednet.demon.co.uk ... its a bit sparse though, and not sure when it was last updated though. Give them a call.

most of these 2.1 arent really 2.1's though.... max bore size on a 20xe and std stroke doesnt make 2100cc
