got some time off work soon and was thinking i may get under corrado and redo the underseal, or give it some kinda coating ready for winter?

is it one of those jobs where you don't know where to stop?

i take it i would need to wire brush the whole underneath of car, rust treatment/prevention, then coat with something?

3M do a very good aerosol bitumen underseal.

It is very easy to use and much neater, cleaner and tidier than a brush and pot and will leave a more factory orientated finish.

Not cheap though i'm afraid. You get what you pay for.
