I turn the key and nothing happens dead silence, doesnt even tick over???

could be anything, bad earth, dodgy barrel buggered fuel pump/battery/alternator. be more specific

lol i dont know what to be more specific about, i put the key in and turn then the dash lights come on and then carry on turning and nothing.

Bat might be close to dying, means there neough power for the dash etc but not to start the car, u tried jumping it ?

is there a click from the front of the car when you try to turn it over? have you checked your leads to see if they are sparking? have you checked to hear if your fuel pump is engaging?

First things first, try to bump or jump start it.
If it fires, then it's a battery or charging problem, or losing it's charge through a bad earth.
If it doesn't start then you have an engine problem.
