Basically as I bought my 2000 SXi only recently, I have the standard stereo in, being the Blaupunkt Car 300.
As the person before had a Proper Head Unit in and replaced it with the original when he sold it I now how to enter the security code to get it working again.
Now, it says you have to turn on ignition, hold in AS, turn on radio and then on display should appear CODE or SAFE... and generally you can then type in the code.
Problem being that I have tried all the things asked to do on the internet and in the audio manual.. yet still I never have CODE or SAFE appear on the display. I can't live without music.. lol, so any help would be much appreciated. I.e if anyone has experienced this too & knows a way to solve it..
