it would appear we have a racing pigeon in our garden, got rings on its feet etc it wont go away and every time we open back door, it tries to walk in No idea what to do really as it doesnt run/fly away if you approach it

let it in...
check the tags on its feet, might be a phone number if its a racing pigeon.
then cook it.

well, the RSPCA did nothing and the racing pigeon association told me to give it sugar water and dried rice. They take the piss, send the bird out flying to get a free dinner, cheeky bastards.

Send it back with it's legs chopped off. And a note telling them not to be so pikey.

I found a dead racing pigeon carcass out on a school trip once - me and my mate hacked its leg off with a blunt rock, took some real effort too, then sent the ring off to the pigeon racing dudes

But the most amazing thing is - I was on holiday in Malta once, in a cave I found a racing pidgeon, it was happy for me to pick it up. When I checked under its wing where they normally put the owners address it was all the way from the UK!!

I remember that. That was so cool, it made your house into an actual castle because you had a peacock in the garden
