I went to the scrappy today to get some bits and bobs and I bought a Cavy SRi rear axle. I've measured it up and it seems to be EXACTLY the same as the Corsa b axle on the rear. I was thinking of taking the Corsa one off and putting the Cavy one on, as it would give me disc's all round.
Has anyone ever done this or know if it works?

i think the mounts that hold the beam on are in different places...
though, im not 100% certain on this

Well, all it seems to be is 4bolts to take off the axle and 4 to put them on, I hope this works coz it'll be a real decent upgrade.

I'd recomend you learn to use a tape measure.

Astounding. So many people has done rear disk conversions on Corsa's yet no one has ever noticed this

It is a lot wider. Have you seen the Boost Beast Nova? That uses Calibra suspension. The Calibra is the same underneath as a Cavalier.

Also, you try using Cavalier driveshafts on a Corsa engine conversion. They are too wide to fit.

Ah right. I measured it again and it's exactly the same size, looks identical too. Im still going to try this, get it to work

ed, the rear of the Boost beast nova is the front of a calibra, which has wider track than the rear.
but, i think someone would have noticed before now tbh

nope not at all mate i have had them in for years only thing i have changed is a cv boot

i had cavalier hubs machined to take corsa bearings. Beardy supplied the hubs to me

cav 1600 inner's are getting scarse, might be a better option

no they are:
1 is 1 piece
and
1 is a 2 piece with a bracket that attaches to the back of the engine
