Don't change the log book and insure it as whatever the car was as standard, that way you get cheap insurance, cheap tax and get a fast car :S

everyone will say the same that it depends on person and location etc.
most people say you need at least 3 years NCB to get a resonable price but its how much you wanna spend!!
give adiran flux a call wont take 10mins

Get a 1.6 16v as it will be cheaper to insure just now & as & when you can afford the mods / insurance, make it quicker than a 2L.

Theres something i dont get. You see people saying 'blahblahblah i havent changed the log book/im not going to blahblahblah.
What i dont get is, if you're not changing the log book then why even get insurance at all? You're policy is completely and totaly invalid anyway if your log book is wrong and you dont tell your insurance company about the changes, so you have no insurance either way. With any luck you'll have an accident and you'll lose your licence and get a big juicy fine to go with it. Since you'd get done by the DVLA and you'll get done for driving without insurance too.
