Got a decent 32'' lcd, and nice amp/speakers so thinking of upgrading sky, although it's already nearly £60 a month so that extra £10 and £300 box takes the piss IMO. Is it really THAT good? Do I need it?

You don't NEED it, however if you WANT it and you're feeling particularly flush, then go for it!

If you get higher resolution and better dynamic range you have better than 'HD'
What you are currently reffering to as HD will be the standard for a long time to come.

Ultra HD or something, however it's 20 years away from the shops, and its only for Cinema's as they are scared of losing business due to people having their own little home cinemas.
