Whats the course for?
i had to do something like this for my course, all it was for was to see what level you are working at, and to see if you need help

That’s the biggest loads of crap I have heard in my life. I can spell acceptably and construct a legible sentence even though I am dyslexic. How can you have been diagnosed at 2 too? Were you even at school then?

ed it affects people at different levels...
My brother is 26 tomorrow, and he has big issues constructing sentences and spelling words correctly, and even issues using the correct words for the meaning!
just because you can do it, doesnt mean other people can...

The government funding thing is a load of my ass.
There is no reason whatsoever why a college would not recover costs from an employer where it was able to do so.
The literacy and numeracy tests also would not prejudice any funding issues whatsoever. Age and employment status perhaps, but your financial status is NOT decided by your academic level.

yes it is Ian,
Amy (the girfriend) went to college yesterday to enrol on a course. because she already has more than 5 GCSE's grade c or better and an NVQ level 2 she has to pay a total of £266 a year for the course.
if she was a thicko with NO qualifications or claiming benefits the course would be free.
this goverment punishes the clever people that work hard to get somewhere. I pay 40% of my earnings in tax. hows that fair? If i didnt try at school, got no qualifications and had a shit job I would be paying a lower rate of income tax and getting working families tax credit. hows that fair?

Your first level two qualification is free, regardless of when you get it. She already has hers.
What I meant is you can't change your status by those tests on that day.

Just thinking more about that one Dave - what level is that course? If she didn't have the current level 2 course she either shouldn't be doing another 2 or couldn't do a 3?
I agree with your point, but there are reasons behind it. Plus level 3 courses generally would not attract any sort of discount unless the institution itself covered that.
