Whats your opinion on foreign investors buying into Prem clubs?
Weve had Chelsea bought by Abromavich, Portsmouth bought by Gaydamak, Utd by Glazier and now West Ham and Arsenal are both linked with Russians or Iranians.
Im all for clubs being sold to rich people if they are true fans of football or the club, but when all these dodgey characters start buying clubs up I cant see it ending well. I for one wouldnt want Liverpool bought by any of those mentioned above, even if it meant more money and trophies Id still worry about the long-term future of the club.

I think its only good in the short term and only for the club. I dont think Abramovich buying chelsea was/is good for football. ANd I trully think that in 2/3 years when he gets bored that chelsea will be fucked.
BUT, if it happened to my team and brought some success i suppose i wouldnt be moaning......

The English game is ruined by the lack of English players at the top teams as it is, this will only make it worse with big money, more foreign players will be attracted.
Bring back the days where teams were filled with local lads and the national team was filled with skill.

Especially when they use the club to balance their debts/switch money around a la Glazier.
Strange though how AIG insisted on English signings.

Brian McBride or Demarcus Beasley or both would be top candidates.

Not good at all imo, as said what will hapen to big clubs if they get passed around between the top 100 ritchest people or end up fucked with no money and having to sell all there best players. I hope no-one buys liverpool.

Wont happen. David Moores loves the club too much to let it go to just anyone. He had offers on the table from a number of people in the past but he wouldnt sell as werent right for the club.
The only ones at the moment I can see who may possibly invest is the Kraft family. I wouldnt mind this too much, as they are true sports fans (even if not Liverpool) and have the knowledge to market Liverpool the way we should be.

nope. They are still in talks as part of a consortium (the two others being true Liverpool fans) but it may not be for a full buyout just yet...maybe inject some funds for the stadium.

got the planning permission, got the 999yr lease for stanley park, just need to show we have the £160-170m needed by the end of this month. From what I have heard the board is fairly confident that its sorted and construction will begin in January.
