Detailing is the removal of any paint defects as well as polishing. Ie, getting rid of swirls.

Washing is...well...washing

Seriously, I got him to wash, polish and shampoo all the seats and it cost me £30 for all that, took 2.5 hours, car looked like i'd just driven it out of the show room.

He will also do wash and hoover out for a tenner

there's a guy near me that does detailing etc, £170 or £230 depending what you want.

I'm thinking of doing a bit of (basic) car valeting in evenings and weekends as where I live its full of wealthy old people and there is nothing like that around here at the moment... that could be for a reason though but I reckon there could be a bit of money to be made from it. Doubt there is enough demand for giving up my job and going full time though

i washed, shampoo'd, clay'd, polish'd and wax'd my new car last week, only took 20hrs

only did it as i just got it and preparing it for winter

and its not common as muck so i want to look after it
