Last weekend i decided to sort my brothers car out as he was on holiday and i thought i would surprise him.
I painted the quarters and bumpers as someone had hit the quarter and rear bumper, the other quarter had some surface rust and the front bumper had the lower spoiler ripped off because he drove through a ford (stream that crosses the road not an escort) too quickly.
Here are the pics, sorry dont have any before shots.
The moped is my girlfriends cousins as he will be 16 soon i said i would paint it for him this afternoon.
i managed to fit all the bits in my Vx220 but it was a bit of a jigsaw puzzle.
I painted it in a custom mix which is basically a maserati blue pearl but with extra blue pearl, a bit of violet pearl and some coarse gold pearl to give it a bit of sparkle. Out in the sun it looks amazing, kind of like a flip colour.
Really pleased with the outcome though even if it is just a moped.
Here are the parts in wet on wet primer which is basically a primer which you put on like laquer very cmooth and even let it flash off for ten minutes and then put the colour straight over the top without having to rub it down first. The americans call it a sealer it also helps as a good base colour to improve coverage of paint.

It's all that needed doing. It was a good place to stop the paint as the repair that was done meant that only a small area needed to be painted.
Good to see you are making good use of the place too Tom! Is the compressor working alright for you? I thought the oil level looked a little low after I changed the oil, but it sounds so much better for it

it saves masking he window out or removing it completly, i put a soft edge which is masking tape with the edge rolled over, on the edge of the swage line laquer it and peel it off straight away. Afterwards you just polish the haze of laquer and it is unnoticable.
