will they go under standard 14inch sport alloys? would prefer to sort out the brakes before i spend more on alloys but obviously wont bother if they wont fit. they'll be gte callipers and 256mm discs if that helps

wel they are the same diameter, only 4mm wider. and the calipers are hardly that different in appearance/size

The pistons are lerger in the caliper. It gives more pressure on the discs.

Caliper is very tight against the wheel Dave, Bigger than standard 1.4 16v Brakes. I'll grab a pic later if I remember!

yeah they Fit and i mean just!!! Ive got them on mine atm but i had the sport alloys be4 i got my speedlines some pics below..

as dean says, they are the same size discs as 1.6 sport brakes, which came with 14" wheels as standard.
The 1.6 discs are 256x20mm which the 2L setup discs are 256x24mm IIRC.

hehe those calipers do look larger than the standard sport 1.6 items. looks good!

Here is a pick of Standard sport brakes, fitted with Red dot discs, but same size as standard.

Calipers are just as close, just harder to see cos they are not red.
