Mine does about 64 in 2nd, now i know my box has lower ratios because its 6spd, but went out in my mates new shape impreza wrx, and it went over 75 in 2nd, i was shocked, although it didnt make it a great deal faster as by the time hes coming out of 2nd im in 3rd and going past 80, just wondered what others are like?

iv never had a car that did anything like that kind of speed in 2nd

i'm not sure, was about 40mph on the corsa

i don't like pushing a car too much, i feel guilty, like i've abused it

Dunno really, its around 60ish I think, put it this way, I don't need 3rd to do 0-60 in 5 seconds.

Yeah its about 45 (in 2nd) in a 5 speed corsa, thats nearly 6k on mine, i guess i could probabaly get 48 if i went for the full 6.4k

35ish in first, 75 in second, 110 in third, 140 in fourth and 160 in fifth! Thats with the 8,000rpm limiter tho (Not that you would want to go over 7k really tho!)

Vectra running F25 box gets about 40 in 1st, 70 in 2nd, 110 in 3rd, about 140 in 4th (not got to the limiter in 4th yet)..

Mine 1.6 sport does about 55 in 2nd not sure what box its got, but is a pain having to change before i reach 60

A tvr with a close ratio box option can get 100 out of second.

My gsi gets just below 60 out of second and 87ish out of third.

my neighbour used to own a sierra (not cossie)automatic that was highly modified by a company in essex. that used to do over 80 in second he only got rid off it bvout 5 years ago. now got one of those mg zr things. tiptronic.with powerflow exhaust, filter etc. hes about 70+
