Just read that even Macedonia are shocked at the lack of Beckham from the squad! Looks like Carrick will be replacing Hargreaves too.

SWP on the right wingback role I hear playing a 3-5-2

I don't see the 3-5-2 being a problem to be honest, Carrick is known for being a defensive midfielder, so it could work.

Wouldn't even allow SWP in the squad unless he can get more minutes in!!!

on that basis carrick should be on the bench. Parker has played more football than him so far IIRC.

I like the thought of 3-5-2...means we will have a 3 centre midfield of Carrick Lampard and Gerrard...
Means SG wont get stuck out on the left wing which is a fcuking joke if you ask me...he is probably our best player...

If it werent for the injury to Aaron Lennon Beckham wouldnt even get a mention...
He is past his best...Lennon and Shaun Wright Philips both offer more to the team that Beckham does now...add to that Stevie G can play on the right as can Phil Neville if needed we have more than enough cover at RM...so Beckham isnt needed...

TBH I can't believe Beckham isn't even a squad player..How can you go from Team captain one minute then getting dropped from 1st 11 then not even on the 20 man squad..All it is is Mclaren making a name for himself like Sven did with taking Wilcott to WC...
To say Beckham isn't good enough even to be in the squad is a joke and you are all having a laugh..

Sqaud player but then why have a 31 year old squad player? Better to have a young lad in the set up to get a taste for it. Becks would effectively just be there for the ride. If he wasn't going to play any part of course.
Its like the World Cup, or Euro's, I forget, where we took Ian Walker instead of Rob Green. Now why take a 30 something year old with nothing to offer, rather than a young talent who wouldve benefited from seeing the set up and how it works for the future.

Your comment with regards to Robert Green angers me, the bloke is the crappest keeper EVER.

Super sub
He doesn't offer pace, flair, attacking options, just long ball all the time.
