just had my Xe put in but the speedo doesn't work, tried doing a search but i can't find what i need.
Basically what do i need in order to get it to work, my clocks are electric and are the 1.6 sport ones if that helps. all help would be appreciated.

just plug the transducer in the f20 box like it was in ur old box

most 1.6 16v sport gearboxes use a hall type electronic sender. (every one I have done have had this)

yes, what ainsley said above. make sure its a worm drive type (mechanical cog on bottom and 3 pin plug on top) then you need to use your original 3 pin plug that is in your car loom to wire it in. wires are:
black: 12v ignition switched.
brown: earth
blue/red: pulse wire.

superstar. If they have them do you reckon i would be able to pick one up from Vauxhall tomorrow?

danny i can imagine. i can see it now - pick car up on moterway police pull me "what speed where you doing" my answer "haven't got a clue"

there expensive from vauxhalls. u can use them from astra gte's early corsas etc

Can u use them from any corsa up 2 97? Like a corsa Gsi as i have the same problem..
As my Car is a 1998 corsa 1.4 sport well was nw its a 2.0 corsa but the speedo dont work..So what model do i need?

can fit a cable driven speedo from a gsi or seomthing also??

u can use any tranducer off an early corsa if its like the astra gte ones

to keep it simple:
if you have cable driven clocks (10mph-130/140mph)just use your clocks, cable and sender from the old gearbox
if you have electronic clocks (0mph - 130/140mph) the 3 pin plug and wiring for the sender is in the car loom. use a sender from a pre 97 14 corsa sport. these have a mechanical worm drive with an electronic sender on top. just plug it in

Yeah mine are electric Clocks...Just posted it on migweb and got a Speedo Transducer of a Pre 97 Corsa sport got it for £15 Posted...And i dont need the wirers..

I think he means he has the wires in his car loom so he doesnt need to wire any extras in.
