on corsa gsi somone said they came standard with this but it fades with age i have never seen this before

Mine had that, thought the previous owner had stuck it on so took it off.

The previous owner also painted the grille red

think its a dealer thing. basically some vaux private dealers woudl add this to make it appear sportier!!
incentive to buy from them blah blah.

Some had bumpstrips on the doors as well, look at Ians I think his was quite a spec'd up one, his has a special security device around the gearstick as well.

I don't know if its rumour but its believed that a small few had air con as well, I think Lee Mannings had air con. Prove me wrong.

when i had the kit on my old B, it had one of them on the front and rear bumper. I too thought someone had stuck it on..thinking it looked good

i had the gearstrick locker security thingy ma bob, lecky windows, pin stripe, bump strips,

and i removed them all to make a real gsi

Never seen a GSi with that tape before. I see this a lot on pre97 SRi with the non-colour coded bumpers tho.
Did some GSi's come with half leather interiors? I always thought it was just cloth but then I found a pic of one.

Yeah it is believed that some had air con.

red tape only comes on 1.2 8v sxi's as standard

my corsa 1.6sport came with a big bracket thingy at the gearstick :S I removed this though as I only had the hooooj bracket? can anyone spread any light? also random thing that I have found is that 1.6 corsas seem to have extra draft excluder part in door frame and I THINK they have heatshield more or less all the way along car?

More than likely re-trimmed, not the standard headrests.
