Selling my 1.0 Corsa, cos I'm fed up of the 3 cylinder issues.

New car time... Conisdering Fiesta (02 onwards), Fabia (00 onwards), Corsa C, VW Polo.

Engines will be around 1.4 ish, cos I'll only have 1yr no claims and I'm 19.

Skoda Fabia is winning...

Any suggestions/comments?

Only downside of the Fabia is that they are apparently a bit slow off the mark in comparision with other 1.4s. Although it'll be a hell of a lot faster than a 1.0 running on 2 cyclinders!!!!!!!

Don't know much about the Corsa C... I thought the SRi was only 1.8? I shall investigate further!

the old C SRi was a 1.8,then they swapped it with the SXi so its now a 1.4 and the Sxi is a 1.8...if that makes sense lol

I've driven the 1.4 Fabia, pretty flat! The TDi version has the same output of 75bhp and is actually slower, but feels fast due to the way the power is delivered.

Good so far boys... keep up the feedback. I'm gonna check out a few garages and do some test drives in the week.

The Fabia Sport is 75bhp and the Comfort is 100bhp - Seems a funny way of doing it

insurance might not be as much as you expect, try ringing round,ya could be surprised!

i could be wrong but i think the 1.8 is a fairly reasonable insurance group for what it is!

You can still get a 1.4 and 1.8 SRI, but you can now also get a 1.4 and 1.8 SXI and a SXI+ which has a few extras

wouldn't go for the 1.8 engine in the focus, apperntly its slower/about the same as the 1.6 zetec due to the way it was designed and weight (could be wrong though).

do as cybermonkey says!1.8 mmm

1.4 SXi+ would be the one I'd go for if I was to get a Corsa C, although Cybermonkeys 1.8 pic makes me tingle with excitement!

I was going to have the 1.4 SXI+ but for the amount of extra fuel it uses and lack of power difference between the 1.2 and 1.4 I've gone for a brand new 1.2 Corsa C - still get air con and also half leather seats which look

......pick it up next Monday!

it goes pretty well too for only 125bhp. its fairly easy to get them up to 140+ with sorted inlet and a good exhaust and extractor. brakes are absolutely superb

I learned to drive in a new fiesta. Really liked that car, but you usually do like the car you learn in!
