Tb'd cars are renowned for major poppage, but is it actually the throttle bodies or standalone management which is set to fuel the car more that causes this?

Plufter? My car pops when its warm only at very low revs, only with a cat back though, I expect minus the cat it will be different.

When they pop it's because of it overfueling on over run. This would be caused by the engine map, not the throttle bodys.

The ECU senses it's cold and effectively turns the choke on, this makes the car overfuel a bit to prevent it stalling thus making it pop on over run
