One of the few engine modifications allowed on endurance rally cars is uprated management. Many of the cars run omex systems, but these are very pricey. Does anyone on here use a Megasquirt ECU? The only other engine mods would be a cat back exhaust and uprated panel filter so obviously there isnt much room for improvement. Other option is a remap on the standard ECU. Any suggestions?

What other mods are allowed? As a standalone ECU on an N/A car with no other real mods is a bit overkill really? You can up the rev limiter with a chip on it's own...

We have used Megasquirt before in the past on our race cars. I never had a go on it, but it did the job on our EFI converted bike engines. It's a good way to learn how engines work too

Then it has to be set up. Can you do that yourself? Megasquirt can be done for under £200.

you can set any stand-alone management up yourself, providing you have the right software and connection leads, its having the actual knowledge to do it

Megasquirt is only cheap because you have to solder it together yourself, and sort the wiring.
you'd be better buying something like Gotech from Jamsport, like broster says, it works out about as cheap in the end.
