My mate says it has been released early, he has a copy? Is this true Shame he lives in Manchester or i'd be there in a shot.

Yes it was released today. Apparently one store started selling it earlier or something and release date changed. Will be buying it friday.

I bought Pro Evo yesterday Game were selling it as someone else released it early.

My first impressions weren't good I'm not sure if its because I've always played Pro Evo on the PS2 but it looks different to the previous versions (obviously because its on the Xbox360) but I mean the players look strange. Plus its a lot slower and I can't find anywhere to speed the game play up. You can't take defenders on like in Pro Evo 5, I was playing as Man U and neither Ronaldo or Giggs could out run some crappy defenders.

The more I played it, the more I got use to it though. I've just started Master League now and I have to say its getting better slowly. I didn't like Pro Evo 5 when I first played it but love it now so I'm hoping its going to be the same with this one.

I haven't played FIFA '07 so can't compare the two.

Doesn't sound promising.

I've played the FIFA07 Demo and thought it was quality. And i'm a Pro Evo man.

I was crap at Pro Evo 5 when it first came out. As always there's a bit of a learning curve to the Pro Evo games and it looks as though 6 isn't any different.

Yeah, I think that's what it is Dave. It'll just take a while to get use to, especially as I'm use to playing Pro Evo on the PS2.

You'll soon realise it's much better mate

As for skinning players, I've always found it impossible to simply run past players, it's always been about your first touch in Pro Evo, or just getting that extra yard to get your cross/shot in

Agree with Dave there,

I was shit at pro evo 5, had a little play with a copy of 6 that i acquired a week or two ago, and scored a couple of wonder goals with Henry.

I've always been shit at going past players, it's all about quick pass and move

I found it quite easy to take it round players in Pro Evo 5. As you say though, this version is all about passing and moving

I also found its a lot easier to score some wonder goals on this game

To be honest I very rarely play the game against the computer. Always found it gets predictable after you play it quite a few times.

Pro Evo for me has always been about getting the mates round with a few beers

Always been a pro evo fan, but i have to say it's taking it's time for me to like it. I've also played the fifa demo and feel it has the edge. I've been playing pro evo online and it's exciting, but it does feel slower to previous versions. There's a LOT more emphasis on individual players attributes and tactics than in previous pro evo games. For example one game i had, i scored a great free kick with Ronaldinho, and Messi was terrorising defenders. However take a strike with their un-favoured foot and don't expect to see it in the back of the net. Also you have to look at your opponents formation, if your's is similar, it's almost certainly going to get bogged down in midfield. This edition proves tactics are essential, as a little bit of tinkering can make a big change. However, still want to play full version of fifa so i can compare!

I love the new Pro Evo as for taking on players.... just give it to Ronaldinho his ball control is out of this world.
