quote: Leicester have confirmed they are in talks with a number of interested parties about new investment in the club, amid speculation of an imminent takeover bid from Milan Mandaric.
The Foxes are currently strapped for cash but are looking to build the club back up and ultimately win promotion to The Premiership.
Mandaric, who resigned as Portsmouth chairman in September, has admitted he likes Leicester and earlier this month claimed there was a 50-50 chance of him buying the club.
Reports now suggest Mandaric is stepping up his interest and could be about to make a bid, and Leicester have responded quickly to the rumours.
"We can confirm that the club has been actively looking at methods of generating new investment into the football club," read a statement on the club's official website.
"Discussions have been held with a number of interested parties and the board is currently considering a variety of options.
"The club will communicate further with shareholders, supporters and staff as soon as it is practically possible."
