Does anyone know of any salvage dealers?

Seems like a cheap way to get a car.

I know all the drawbacks, but I'm not bothered...

According to my dad A5 Salvage only do Renault/Pug/Citreon

But theres another breakers yard in MK. One near Ikea, and one in Bletchley (who 'recycle' cars).

but that's not an issue for what I'm after

pros are the cheapness, cons are the resale price, if its on the road.

Not sure really, but hopefully, the mini is going, so i'll be replacing it. I thought it made sense to buy something cheap, with a bigger engine, and bolt new wings/bonnet/bumpers on over the winter.

depends how bad the car is.

on a 1000 car, you'll probably save 300 quid after repairing it.

Very hard to sell on though, tbh I'd spend no more than £2000.

Then again £2000 will get me a fairly good written off car

They have some decent cars inside that won't take a lot to get back on the road. They had a nice Elise the other year. It was half cream half red, seperated by a green stripe. I couldn't work out why it was there until I walked around it, the drivers side wasn't there

id be very doubtfil if ud find a corsa c 1.4 needing a bumper/ wing and bonnet cause it be cheap enuff to fix. write offs are written off because of the labour and parts/ materials bill to fix makes it cost effective. so for a diyer to fix it would need to be very light which would beg the question as to why its been written off in the first place??
