i've just finished helping my dad with his front room and it looks cool. The whole room it focused around his home cinema system. We've put a 42 inch plasma screen on the wall and he's got a bose surround sound system. we ran all the cables in trunkings and then got a plasterer to come and skim over the top so there are no visible wires at all. I'll take some pics this weekend as i'll prob be round there watching High Definition football

My lcd is not on the wall (didn't fancy digging the plaster out to bury wires) although my lcd upstairs is on the wall!

So, light cream carpet, dark cream walls, brown leather sofa's, what colour curtains/lightshades etc.?? Manager reckons a deep red, like maroon or burgundy to warm it up a bit? I was thinking a brown with a simple pattern of some sort . Need to sort my curtains asap tbh

Here is mine, i have brown curtains but they are very light (suede) which contrast quite well with the brown feature wall and the cream walls

This is my dads. That wire you can see between the tv and the cabinet was only temporary and all the wires are now hidden.

Such a shame when people don't bother hiding the wires, especially when it's relatively easy like on a chimney
