Surely it will be like looking for a needle in a hay stack, I think they will have a job on tracking down the responsible fans.

Yeah I agree, I just don't see how they can crack down on it without seeing it happen first hand. Fineing the team seems silly and a complete fan ban would be way over the top. Not that those have been mentioned!

The Everton one was pathetic. See the fans in the background clapping and cheering when he got hit, wankers.
If someone near me threw a coin, or anything for that matter, i'd tell the stewards.
Throwing stuff is such a cuntish thing to do.

There's CCTV in all grounds, covering all areas, surely they can just look for someone making a throwing action, can't be THAT hard.
Absolute disgrace that fans do it though

they'll know which seat they are in or around, and clubs will have contact details for who that seat was sold to so could probably track them that way.
Im almost betting that they'll be known to the police already, as its not every travelling away fan who will throw a coin at someone!

Ah, sorry mis-read what you said.
If it was a season ticket holder it'll be easier, obviously. If it was bought by card then they should be able to track the person as well i'd guess. I suppose if it was bought by Cash then it'll be a bit more difficult
