Here's a link to one of my WIP threads for my nova. Some of you will know it, in a nutshell its Road legal trackday C16XE nova with extensive work done on engine / brakes / suspension / shell. Its as light as a feather (sub 650kgs) and seriously quick

1/4mile PB is 13.85 and 0-60 is 5.36. Plenty more to come in 2007

Piss takingly light. I guess all the glass is removed, I couldn't belive how light a tailgate is with no glass in it, plastic is the way forward!

Half pint - I can't imagine you'd be much lighter than me, I'm already 2D

Its got polycarbonate windows all round (except screen obv) and since the little weightlifting vid I've got a fibreglass tailgate, wings and teeny weeny redtop battery

I'm gonna have to drill em (forgot to take the drill last time I was at the workshop ) Which I think is a plus cos it means i can drill fewer holes and use fewer screws, which means lighter!

Are the rear arches going to be made wider to match up to the fronts?

Nope. The back doesn't need to go wider. All the work is done by the front i.e braking, steering, accelerating.

Knew I had a project thread here somewhere, didn't realise its been this long since I did any work I haven't seen the car for ages! I'm presuming its still in the workshop where I left it, so to celebrate that fact I bought a set of Wilwood dynalites and 280mm discs from the Autosport show today I'm back there tomorrow so i'll probably get some ferrodo ds2500 to suit them too I'll post pics of it all when it arrives mid next week

They were unsure of the part no. for the pads on the DT stand so I'll order them next week unless someone knows somewhere cheaper to get 'em? (Ferrodo DS3000 for wilwood forged dynalites)

I bought a little trick bit of weight saving today, been meaning to get one for ages, its bloody small (condom for scale!). Should save about half a kilo
