The standard car weighs 1050kg, there is no way you have taken out 250kg, as Robin says, maybe 100kg max.

mine weighed 900kg dead with a head unit, front speakers and 2 seats and no electric windows or anything, with a 1.4 16v.

maybe 1000kg, then which means you will still be around 900kg at the best.

Bear in mind the extra weight of the XE as well, I think its around 20 or 30 kgs more than the 1.4 is.

Me and my bro are having abit of a competition.
His is 1.6 16v sport,electric windows,air con.No rear interior.

I would say yours is probably lighter, as it has no interior, but not by much, maybe 10 - 20kg?

Jr's is the only one I know of that is under 800kg and you know how stripped that is (in its normal state anyway, not now).
That weighs 781kg, so you have a major task on your hand, remove carpet, sound deadening, excess wiring, all interior plastics etc.

Apart from the wiring iv taken all the carpet,sound deading and gear surrond..ect

Even a GSI is only 945-975kg, so an SRI wont be 1000kg.

when mine was scrapped last week it had engine in-crank hanging out though-no seats only dash it was 836kg

if you want to shed weight, get rid of the metal boot and bonnet and replace with different material.. Focking hell there heavy

if you wanna lose weight, replace bonnet, tailgate, body panels etc. You'll see alot more difference than pissing about with sound deadening.
