had my clutch changed two weeks ago.

Now the syncromesh has gone on second gear

Double declutching time.

So have to find a new gear box and start all the fun again.

Gear box in my car is erm a nice job

Most of the arse end of the car has to come over

people are asking silly prices for a gear box.

£350+VAT for a 15 year old gear box

£300 is the going rate for most 15year old F28s

Must be oodles of cheap second hand boxes knocking about? Mr2's are quite old now do they all share the same gearboxes?

Why did it die? High miler? Low oil?

the gear box mine has was only used for 18 months.

Oil was ok. Got 118k on the clock.

probrably a bit too much abuse

thats about the going rate for one of them. Mate had his done not that long ago on his Rev 1, i can enquire who did it if you like?

place that did my clutch will fit it.

theres an mr2 breakers near my in callington.....ill try n find a number for u, worth a shot..

Once place rang me and said they wanted £550 + VAT + delivery.

The box had 180k on it

no i didnt buy it. He was trying to tell me i would find a better deal any where else.

I have three place written down with prices from 125+Vat including del to 188+Vat all with less than 50 on the box
