yeah, wouldn't be the most brightest ideas going
Is it not possible to mount it on a wall or possibly above/behind (drill a door stopper to the floor to give plenty of space behind) the door?

its not a door which is frequently used. i have two doors in my room, one to the hall, but the one i wanna use is to the spare room. its hard to explain so heres my friend mr paint
if you get me... laying on bed watching tv is the way forward. its not very thick wood that door though, like 1cm thickness

Don't put it on the door - put it in the door!
As has been mentioned previously - doors are hollow so just cut a 23" plasma-tv-shaped-hole out the centre and box it in the middle, mount to the back, door stop in the spare room to stop the wider centre panel hitting the wall and there you have it - trick!

that would have to one very slimline tv to put in a 2.5" door...+ where are you going to run the wires...?you would have to be careful that they cant get trapped in the hinges etc...a hell of a lot of fuss if you ask me.

Get a stand for it and place it at the bottom of the bed - would be the best option.

Get a swivel wall mount and put it on the wall between the 2 doors...
Best option I can see
