Bought some new goodies for the car on tuesday, sounds fooking marvelous now

Also went to Seat and picked up some new...

Was expecting the mats to cost a small fortune seeing as they're Seat but they was only £30, cant go wrong really!

Interior is getting valated today as i think the previous owners used to herd cattle in there.

In love with the car at the moment

Cone filter is metal gauze, not cotton or anything so is not oil based.

Big Boys Toys in essex sold me it and they specificaly said it wont knacker my MAF or anything.

Thinking of getting a forge heat sheild for it though...

I'll be honest he is talking sense this time, That filter will just suck in hot air unless it has a heatshield. I had an open filter and it made it feel sluggish, lost a few psi and it dropped off a lot quicker!!!! Sorry to agree with Steve, but he is correct, Love the look of the new designed 007p tho.

cold air feed is best down the side of the battery, there may be some cutting of plastic required, a 3.5" feed fits fine.

Any larger and you need to take the batt cover off

It is also the vibrations that kill the maf so make sure you secure it properly!!!

Ibiza doesn't have a batt cover like your leon!!!!

Just run one down the wing and have it facing towards the back of the car, apperently best for suction or some scientific bullshit!!

Here is a photo of my engine bay showing filter and the recirc valve

The Jabba heat shield brings the filter to sit pretty much right inside the passenger side wing.

The filter is firmly fitted as it came with a big connecting arm.

Impossible Performance in Medway fitted the filter and they know their stuff so didnt just chuck it on anyway which way.
