Bought this GTi off someone local to me last week and I plan to get it looking nice over the next month or 2.
So far I've got the headlights and grill off for smoking/debadging and the rotten boot off it.
Will get it up on stands this weekend and get all the suspension etc off it and clean it all up ready for the coilies..
Picked up a set of D90's the other night pretty cheap that I'm refurbing to put on it. Only other plans are wee touches like smoked indicators, headlights and possibly smoothing the new boot depending if its the right colour or not.
Few of you will remember me from when I had my Mk2 earlier in the year.. had 4 cars since then back ended up coming back to a veedub.
Any comments are more than welcome..
This was my Mk2:
And hoe the Mk3 is sitting just now:
My spotless boot!!:
And the wheels:

They are staying on Robin, not wanting the hassle of finding rust under them.. You got the colour spot on.. Really nice in the daylight.
Its a 2.0 8v with 119bhp, was on the rollers just a couple of weeks ago..

God knows, corsa just went last night so I've got money to get the bits ordered for this now. It will be pretty much done by the end of this month so might sell the cav and just use this..
Got a new job so car will only be gettin used at nights and weekends anyway..

UPDATE!!
Coilovers arrived this afternoon...
Adjusted them to the correct height :
On the car:
Car down (remember fronts still in air so the backs up higher than it will be):
Overall V happy with them apart from I'm missing a C-Spanner... mates got a spare though so not a biggy.
Will get the front on 2moro when my new strut tops arrive... oh yeh ignore the wheels please, porka adaptors havent arrived yet..
