Bassicly are internet wire is fucked upstairs so using the pc downstairs at the mo.
I have bt broadband and a voyger 100 modem.

And just plug it in upstairs and im away. Or will it not work

will work, but you need to make sure you ADSL modem has an ethernet connection (doesn't look like the router has a built in ADSL modem).
If you want to go wireless, then i would look at Linksys/Netgear/D-link gear, will cost you around £40-60 for the router (with a built in modem, so you wont need the voyager 100), but the stuff lasts are pretty solid
