Might be moving house soon, out into the countryside.
The concern i have is that i have my corsa -60mm lowered, 1.6 16v fuel drinker and i need to travel about 20 mile to work each day, (too far to use the moped)
so do i.....
1. get an economical diesel car - and sell the corsa
2. get a diesel engine and put in the corsa
3. get an economical diesel car - and turn the corsa into a track car (and be skint)
4. just put up with the corsa how it is
comments please

20 miles a day is not alot really your 1.6 surely gives around 30odd mpg, being lowered is surely more a pain around town with speed bumps & such like

1. 20 miles to work isnt actually that much
2. A 1.6 corsa is not a big fuel drinker.
Your definately worrying about nothing, but if you are that concerned why not a 1.2 8valve corsa or even a 1.0...

maybe im just being daft then, its just annoying when my old man is getting 500-600 miles per tank in his diesel astra van! and im lucky to get 300 miles to a tank.
its going to be about 20 miles each way too so thats over a gallon of fuel a day not including seeing the missis
just me over reacting i suppose!!
will be worth it in the end as the new place has a 7500 sq foot work shop, plenty of room for a corsa to be tinkered with in!

Get a 12v, really good fuel economy
haha on a serious note, the longer journeys you'll do, the better the fuel economy you'll get. My girlfriends 1.4 16v Fiesta used to do about 250miles to a tank around town etc, verging on the red. I was driving it 40miles round trip for 6 days once when working, got to 270 miles with quarter of a tank left.
