biggest regret of my life was buying this car. bought it as a ls 1.2 8v. Fully resprayed it and smoothed the bumpers, semid the tailgate, put rgm skirts on, 17" dares (from the other car), lowered it 60 mm with a gmax kit, put buckets and harnesses in it and a rear strut brace, m3 indicator mirrors, smooth fuel cap door, vectra pass handle.

didnt want to screw the skirts down in the door jam so bonded them, a few weeks l8r the bond lifted and hit the freshly painted doors. marked it and i really couldnt be arsed fixing it. a year l8r they r rusty (obviously)

the car was to low for the splash guards at the front and all the shit gets into the door jam

the rubber was taken off from the fuel door cap which now lets water in and lie in the recessed bit where the filler is. consequently it has rotted

car was sprayed by my dumbass mate who didnt have a water trap and has started small blisters over it

suspension is wrecked after a years drivin on our shite roads

mot wouldnt pass me with the buckets as the inner part of the harness was mounted to the seat subframe so told me i would have tp strip the interior and weld brackets to the floor to pass so i chucked them in favour of 2 gsi front seats

rear strut brace was painted mg zr gunmetal grey fading to white in the middle. looked ace for ages till i scored it one day and then it was wrecked any way so stoped covering it when i put stuff in the rear so it got totally mullered so i took it out.

pre 97 bumper grill was cut out to fit a kamei which wouldnt fit unless the bumper was cut to suit, i didnt know this and didnt want to cut into a freshly painted bumper so bought a plastic grill to mod to fit. by the time i got it the doors were mullered by the skirts and i had lost all interest in the car so left it grill less

its the slowest car ever and costs a fortune in petrol, get soemtimes as little as 250 miles to a tank. Terrible

IT will be going to a new home shortly

i hate this car.

enjoy the pics..

doesnt look too bad altho look at the front edge of the door, other side is the same. bumpers came out lovely, just a shame that the grill didnt fit. tailgate is lovely. just not happy with the car, so slow and hard to fuel.

anythign wrong with the car to be honest i could have fixed but i just lost interest, worked on this at home for a couple of months after work etc while the other one was sittin neglected and money that should have been going into it was going into this one. then it started to go pear shaped and i lost interest big time.

colours worked well together imo, made a nice change to the normal white colour coding...

it looks why not change the wheels to some 15's that would save some fuel!

dont wanna spend any money on the car. recently for mot i put on

2 new tyres
water pump
timing belt (in conjuntion with the water pump- timing was done about 10k before hand also)
steering arm
2 track rod ends
full wheel alignment set up (camber etc)
balljoint

been toying with the idea of keeping it, stripping it and doing a 2.0 8v conversion and going for some severe weight reduction but dunno, spent way to much on the other on already... time will tell...
