hi i havent been on for about 2 weeks now, since the rolling road day at dastek. was a good turn out.
anyway i made 150.4 bhp with v-power. which was 3 bhp up on what i made running it on normal fuel. the torque was 123 or 124 cant remember
i still wasnt happy so i have went and fitted a superchip aswell now as the torque and bhp were still going strong at 6500rpm. i will also have a new air filter on as the k&n one is shit.
the spec now is
mantzel intlet manifold
enlarged throttle body
ported and polished head
shrick 268 cams
sbd rollers
arp rod bolts
carbon enclosed filter
4-1 protech manifold
de-cat
magnex full system exhaust
superchip
unichip
lightened flywheel
helix clutch
think thats everything. it will be running on v-power from now on.
any guess on gains that i will see from the superchip being fitted and the new filter.

yeah i only found out after i bought the superchip for £100 that dastek have made a new module that can raise the rev limit and only costs £45+vat. its done now anyway
if i get over 155 i would be happy. if i get close to 160 then am just going to want to spend more money trying to get it to 160.

So you have hit 150 with a 1.6 WITHOUT tb's.
Impressive.
Wonder what the limit is without needing tb's

digi-dash plus raised rev limit dont mix too well, when i used to have one it got confused after 7000rpm and just went up and down like crazy then turned off

it worked fine upto past the top of the curve, but past that it didnt know what was going on. once the revs dropped back down below 7k again, it worked ok

hi Leo, wondered where you went
good results on the dyno I know the dastek one is good as well and pretty accurate, I was there using the dyno a few days before you. are you planning on getting the unichip remapped now to suit the new chip in the ecu as the unichip wont have any effect after the standard rev limit.
similar results to my mantzel set-up but believe me, even though its 150 bhp it still wouldnt be close to a 150 bhp tb'd 1.6. I found out the hard way, as did broster and did the same as you before getting the tb's.
oh, and post your graphs up

i dont have ayn equipment to post a pic up mate. i spoke to russel and he said its fine to plug the superchip straight in and it will work. he is going to see what happens when it goes on the rollers on wednesday and he will map it to suit if it needs it. am getting everything done realy cheap now that i have spent so much money with them. i may go to tb's as dastek have made a managment system that can be used with throttle bodies but that wont be for a while and it will depend on how the engine holds up.
