My sister is looking into buying a VW Polo on an S plate with 95k on the clocks. I am led to believe these engines can handle moon miles is this correct? Also any other thing to look out for when buying one? Pics of the car below.

right

95k is a lot, regardless if it beeing a vw

look for
Cental locking, working, the o/s rear cluster leaks, and destroys the central locking pump which sits behinf it

Input shaft seal on the box leaks, is obvious when you jack the car up

trim suffers on these IMO,

also is a 16v, as anything else came with the small bumpers, and usally the front and rear panel are dented to fuck as there exposed, and therefore rust

rear washer jet not working, people dont use proper screenwash, pipe freezes, comes off, and leank into the boot and the rear latch

Steve, that plug pic needs hosting on VAGweb, then you can just post that....

Mark, if it's an 8v, check behind the bumpers, like jr says.

Turns out the car was a complete dog. Seller's mate was a complete bitch aswell. When i was about to jack it up she was like "what for? everything is perfect because my bf is a mechanic etc" SHe was coming accross as very defensive etc so we just walked away.
